Orangeburg - Memorial services for James A. 'Jimmy' Dantzler, 81, of 474 Pike Blvd., Orangeburg, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 20, 2005, at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Julian Ford officiating. Mr. Dantzler died Monday, April 18, at The Regional Medical Center. He was born in Orangeburg County, a son of the late Ben Tillman and Pearl Connor Dantzler. He was a retired farmer and retired owner of the Elloree Cotton Gin. Mr. Dantzler was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church and a U.S. Army veteran, having served in WWII. Survivors include his wife, Lazelle S. Dantzler of the home; and a number of nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the residence. Memorials may be made to St. Paul's United Methodist Church, 356 Amelia St., Orangeburg, SC 29115 or to Elloree Museum, PO Box 54, Elloree, SC 29047.
