She was born March 16, 1919 in Clark township, Johnson county, Indiana. Her parents were Clarence Emmitt Griffith and Frona Mary Boner. She married Charles F Windhorst on March 26, 1939; he preceded her in death on April 26, 2001. Survivors include one son, Rex E Windhorst of Franklin; two grandchildren, Stacey Marie Windhorst and Stephen Rex Windhorst, both of Franklin; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by an infant son Charles Edward Windhorst in 1940; three brothers, william Wesley Griffith, O Emmitt Griffith, and Harold Robert Griffith; three sisters, Eva E Huffman, Clara Jane Kinnick, and infant sister Fredia Alice Griffith. She was a 1937 graduate of Clark Township high school in Johnson County. She was a homemaker and lifelong farmer, alongside her late husband, in Clark and Pleasant Townships, Johnson county. She was a member of Pleasant Valley church, in Clark township, where she was the oldest and last living child of a charter member of the church, and Johnson County Antique Machiney Association. Rev Wayne Bozell and Rev David Watkins will conduct a service at 10 am. Saturday at Pleasant Valley church, 9990 N 700 E Acton Rd Indpls, IN in Johnson county. Friends may call from 2 -8 pm Friday, May 23 at Wilson St Pierre funeral serv and crematory, Greenwood chapel 481 W Main st, Greenwood, IN. burial will be at Acton cemetery, Acton.
