William Slyker

Passed away at home on April 12, 2011 surrounded by family. Beloved husband of 46 years of Florence Slyker of Santa Rosa; Loving father of Bill Jr. of Santa Rosa, Betty Hampton of Fresno, and Bob and wife Patty of Santa Rosa; loving step-father of Ron Laughlin of Santa Rosa, David Laughlin of Upper Lake, and Dennis Laughlin and wife Robin of Red Bluff; grandfather of 18; great-grandfather of 20; dear brother of the late Margaret. A native of Plymouth PA, age 82. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. Bill had a special love for family, home and gardening. He owned a Clover Dairy distributorship and retired in 1990. Florence and Bill enjoyed hosting many exchange students and were foster parents of two. Bill was meticulous about his yard! The family wishes to express deep appreciation to Memorial Hospice for the exceptional care. Friends are invited to a Celebration of Bill's Life on, Saturday, May 14, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church, 1550 Pacific Avenue, Santa Rosa.
