She was born Dec. 6, 1932, in Seaton, the daughter of Gustaf and Anna (Lundeen) Anderson. She was raised and educated in North Henderson and Alexis and graduated from Alexis High School in 1950.
Betty married Gene Corbin at Zion Lutheran Church, North Henderson, on Nov. 15, 1953, and he survives.
She worked at Knox County Oil Co., Galesburg, for several years and was a homemaker. She enjoyed her grandchildren and sewing.
She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church.
Her family includes her husband, Gene; children, Ruth Ann Corbin of Alexis, Roger (Connie) Corbin of Roseville, David (Colleen) Corbin of Little York, Debra (Michael) Peterson of New Windsor, Gena Alcorn of Galesburg, and Bonnie (James) Aden of Alexis; 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; along with nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one granddaughter, Rachel Peterson; one sister; and one brother.
Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 19, at Zion Lutheran Church in North Henderson, with the Rev. Beth Hamilton and the Rev. Tim Anderson of Altona Immanuel Lutheran Church officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Vernon Cemetery, North Henderson. Friends may call after noon Sunday, Dec. 18, at Hoover-Hall Memorial Chapel, Alexis, where family will be present from 2-4 p.m. Memorials may be given to the Zion Lutheran Church, North Henderson.
