Mary K. Alexander

Mary K. Alexander, 86, of Stonehouse Road, Clarion, died Tuesday, December 13, 2011, at the Clarion Hospital.
Born August 28, 1925, in Brookville; she was the daughter of the late Boyd James and Myrtle Olive Myers Glinkerman.
Mrs. Alexander was married on August 28, 1947 to Pressley R. Alexander, he preceded her in death on January 9, 2000.
She retired from the bakery department of the former Riverside in Clarion.
Mrs. Alexander was of the Presbyterian faith. She attended the New Rehoboth Greenville Presbyterian Church and First Presbyterian Church in Clarion.
She enjoyed gardening, reading, cooking, quilting, and spending time with her family.
Mrs. Alexander is survived by three children, Brenda Goff and her husband, Tapper, of Summerville; Dave Alexander of Clarion; and John Alexander of Clarion; two grandchildren, Jessica L. McFadden of Summerville, and James C. Alexander of Clarion; and special family, Joellen Wilshire, and Amy and Kelly Mays.
Also surviving are two brothers, Darrel Glinkerman and his wife, Glenda, of Euless, TX; and Donald Glinkerman and his wife, Nancy, of Summerville; and three sisters, Mable Lancaster of Jackson, OH; Sandra Doverspike and her husband, Melvin, of Mayport; and Connie Carnahan and her husband, Donald, of Clarion.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, Richard Carl Alexander, who died in Vietnam, and Roy Grant Alexander; two daughters, Kathryn Jane Glinkerman and Karen Jean Glinkerman; three sisters, Ella Cramer, Olive Hepler, and Jean Glinkerman; and three brothers, James Glinkerman, Vern Glinkerman, and Morgan Glinkerman.
Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday, December 16, 2011, at the Robert V. Burns Funeral Home, 638 Wood Street, Clarion.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 17, 2011, in the funeral home with Rev. Scott Hauser, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church in Clarion, officiating.
Interment will be held in the New Rehoboth Church Cemetery.
