Bernard M. Spangler, age 64, of 4934 Florist Road, N.W. died Monday, August 24, 1992. He attended Valley View Wesleyan Church, was a retired employee of Valley Rich Dairy and was a Navy Veteran of World War II. He was predeceased by one son Bernard Wayne Spangler. He is survived by his wife, D. Jean Spangler; two daughters and sons-in-law, Nancy and Donnie Kidd, Boones Mill; Linda and Victor Bristow, Troutville; one son and daughter-in-law, Dean and Odilee Spangler, Roanoke; five brothers, Paul Spangler, Rocky Mount; John, David and Jonathan Spangler, all of Shawsville; Kenneth Spangler, Roanoke; one sister, Mary Ruth Haymaker, Virginia Beach; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted from Oakey's North Chapel 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 26 with the Rev. Randy J. Garner and the Rev. Raymond Powers officiating. Burial will be in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. Friends may call Oakey's North Chapel where the family will receive friends 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Tuesday
