Margaret Ellis Holtsclaw, 82 Tipton,Died 3:30 AM Thursday December 4, 2003 at Millers Merry Manor Nursing Home in Tipton. Born Oct 24, 1921 in Anderson, she was the daughter of Homer Hudson Ellis and Nona Bell Ellis. On October 31, 1944, in Anderson she married David Holtsclaw II and he preceded her in death on June 27, 2001. She graduated from Anderson High School and later attended Anderson College. She also attended administrative classes at Indiana University. She was the administrator of the Holtsclaw Nursing Home in Tipton. She was a life long member ofWest Street Christian Church where she was actively involved with the circle. She also belonged to the Eastern Star. She worked for the Welcome Wagon. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Daniel Lee and Colleen (Stanford) Ellis,of Virginia, and David A. and Joy (Rogers) Holtsclaw, Centerville, Ohio: two daughters and sons-in-law, Stephanie and Gerald W. Love, Kokomo, and Laura and Gene Stroud, both of Franfurt: six grandchildren Roman Spin Boyd, Kokomo, Amy Nicole Stroud and Eric Gene Stroud, both of Frankfurt, Brenden Ellis, Samatha Ellis, and Katherine Ellis all of Virginia, and a sister June Snyder of Anderson. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters. She is buried next to her husband at Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery.
