The burial site for Sarah Glasgow was located and identified by her great-grandson in 1990. It's location is in the SE 1/4 of the NW 1/4 of Section 17, Township 38 North, Range 4 West. This plot of ground is located on the eastern most part of the 157 acres that was patented by George W. Glasgow on Sept 1, 1881, at Booneville, Missouri. There are no stones to mark the graves of Sarah nor her son, George Thomas Glasgow. Ground configuration seems to indicate that other graves may be located there as well.

Sarah Cordelia Glasgow was the daughter of John and Harriet Mathis. She was born in Stewart County, Tn., and married George Washington Glasgow 20 August 1860. The 1860 Stewart County Federal census shows Sarah Mathis and George Glasgow living just 3 houses away from each other in District No. 6. After they married, they had two children while living in Tennessee. They moved to Hamilton County, Il., c1864 and had two more children. They then moved to Crawford County, Mo., c1871 and had three more children. George Glasgow continued to live and farm in Crawford County until his father's death in 1892. He then moved back to Stewart County, Tn., along with two of his children, William W. and Alex Elsworth, where he lived until his death.
