Mr. Talmadge Anderson, 78, entered into eternal rest of Friday, June 3, 2011 at Candler Hospital. He was a native of Hazlehurst, GA. and attended the public schools of Lauren County, where he graduated from Washington High School. He earned a B.A. Degree in Business (1953) from Savannah State College, a MBA Degree in Business (1958) from Atlanta University. He was an educator in many universities and retired from Washington State University after 33 years of service. He received recognition as a leading Black Study Scholar for editing, authoring, and co-authoring numerous books and articles. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a member of the Historic First African Baptist Church. Survivors: two sons, Talmadge M. Anderson (Claudia) of Brazil and Raul M. Anderson of Jacksonville, FL; four daughters, Rose M. Anderson of Jacksonville, FL, Ramona V. Anderson of Albuquerque, NM, Rhunell Anderson of Denver, CO, and Tammie Anderson; seven grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
