TULSA - Sybil Leona Hicks Pratt, 86, of Tulsa, OK, died at home under hospice care, December 2, 2011.

She was born in Columbia, SC, March 9, 1925, and was the daughter of the late Joseph Wallace Hicks, Sr. and Cassie Wilkerson Hicks.

After studying at Columbia College, she married Horace 1. Pratt, Jr. on June 5, 1948. Mrs. Pratt was a lifelong homemaker, an active Red Cross volunteer, a volunteer troop and den leader with the Girl and Cub Scouts, an avid golfer and had achieved the Life Master Rank in the American Contract Bridge League.

Survivors include her daughter, Dale A. Pratt of Atlanta, GA; son, Horace 1. Pratt, III (Reverend Jenny Pratt) of Broken Anow, OK; grandchildren, James W. Cool (Christi) of Tucker, GA; and Allison Cool Coulter (Lanier); and two great grandchildren, Emmaline and Jackson Coulter of Decatur, GA.

Mrs. Pratt was preceded in death by her husband, Horace Pratt, Jr., and her brother, Colonel (Retired) Joseph W. Hicks, Jr.

A graveside service and interrunent will be held in the spring of 2012 at Crescent Hill Memorial Gardens, Columbia, SC. The family suggests that memorials may be made to The Presbyterian Home of Clinton at 801 Musgrove Street, Clinton, SC 29325.
