HUNTINGTON, Texas --- Funeral services for Lynnford N. Bammes, 65, Huntington, Texas, were Thursday, April 7, at First Presbyterian Church in Huntington, with Dr. Rick Baggett and the Rev. Jacqueline Hannan officiating. Interment followed in Huntington Cemetery.
Mr. Bammes was born Oct. 3, 1939, in St. Francis, Kan., to Earl and Olga Mundhenke Bammes. He died Monday, April 4, 2005.
A former resident of Topeka, Mr. Bammes had resided in Huntington for the past 18 months. He was a retired district representative with Thrivent Financial Services, and prior to that was a band director for 25 years.
Mr. Bammes loved to fish and work in his garden. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church, where he was very active in church activities and the church choir.
Survivors include his wife, Wilna Bammes; daughters and sons-in-law, Carol and Bart Farmer, Sandy and Chris Balenti, Hailey and Cory Aubuchon, daughter, Rebecca Bammes; eight grandchildren; parents, Earl and Olga Bammes; brother and sister-in-law, Eugene and Ruth Bammes; sister, Cleone Barker; and a number of nieces and nephews.
