In humble submission to the will of our Heavenly Father, we announce the homegoing of our beloved brother, Pastor William Jerald Edwards on November 18, 2011. A celebration of his life will be held on Friday, November 25, 2011 at 22ND Avenue Baptist Church. A public viewing will be held at the church only, from 5pm until 7pm.
The homegoing celebration shall continue on Saturday, November 26, 2011 at 10am at Sardis Baptist Church, 1645 4th Court West, Birmingham AL. Burial will be held at Elmwood Cemetery. Mourning, but celebrating his victory in Christ are: his faithful and devoted wife of twenty-two years, who stood by his side till death did them part, Cheryl Y. Edwards, his daughter, Renee Jeralynn Edwards, son, Cedric Gates (Joanna), sisters, Dianna Davis (John), and Cheryl Cocroft (Niles), grandchildren, Shelby Gates and Jaren Gates, great grandchildren, Taylor and Melvin, step grandchildren, Keya, Kelvin, Jada, and a host of aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.
