Services for Curtis Brewer, 67, of Virginia Beach, Va., are set for 2 p.m. Friday at First Baptist Church in Franklin.

Jim Brewer of South Plains Church of Christ will officiate, assisted by the Rev. Jim Manning of First Baptist Church in Franklin. Burial will be in Norwood Cemetery in Hearne.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. at Heartfield-Ritter Funeral Home in Hearne.

Mr. Brewer died Saturday in Virginia Beach, Va.

He was born in Franklin and was a resident of Virginia Beach for 30 years. He graduated from Texas A&M University and served in the U.S. Army. He was an accountant. He was a deacon at Thalia Lynn Baptist Church and was an active member at Fellowship Sunday School Class. He formerly was a member of the church choir.

Survivors include his wife, Jane Loftis Brewer of Virginia Beach; a daughter and son-in-law, Jacqueline Loftis and Kevin Johnson of Carthage, Mo.; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Rondal and Jean Brewer and Dan and Barbara Brewer, all of Franklin, and Glen and Edwina Brewer of Bryan; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Marie and Fred Buhman of League City and Doris and Raymond Theiss of Hearne; a brother-in-law, Jack Whitlow of Virginia Beach; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
