Survived by one son and daughter-in-law, three grandsons, one granddaughter, two great-granddaughters, one nephew and a sister-in-law, also several great nieces and nephews. Since her passing, she now has 2 more great-granddaughters and 2 great-grandsons.

She was born on Nov. 17, 1900, in Daleville and was a lifelong resident. She was a graduate of Daleville High School and Ball State Teachers College and taught elementary school for one year in Cowan and 18 years at Daleville Elementary School before retiring in 1969. She taught 4th grade. She was a member of Daleville Woman's Club. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Loren and JoAnn Holbrook of Muncie; a sister-in-law, Wanda Cannon of Bradenton, Fla.; four grandchildren and two great-granddaughters; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph R. Holbrook, who died in 1966, and a brother, Cary Fenwick. Burial will be in Saunders Cemetery, Daleville.
