Professional Wrestler. Lockwood made his debut in 1989 and spent ten years competing in the independent circuit before joining the World Wrestling Federation in 1998. The following year, he emerged as Crash Holly. He teamed up with his kayfabe cousin Hardcore Holly and together they achieved victory in the WWF World Tag Team Championship. In 2000, the Holly Cousins expanded their alliance by including Molly Holly, forming a stable. Throughout his tenure in the WWF/WWE, Holly solidified his presence in the hardcore division by capturing the WWF Hardcore Championship an impressive 22 times. Notably, many of his title reigns occurred during a period when the championship was continuously up for grabs, known as the "24/7" rule. After a successful 5-year tenure with WWE, Lockwood's time with the WWE came to an end on June 30, 2003, when he was released. In July of 2003, Lockwood inked a deal with NWA Total Nonstop Action and made his debut as "Mad Mikey" on July 23rd. He accepted an open challenge from Elix Skipper but unfortunately lost the match. Mad Mikey was known for his fiery personality and often expressed his frustrations in his promos. He went on to wrestle on nine NWA-TNA weekly PPVs, with his last appearance being on October 1st. Additionally, he briefly wrestled for Pro Wrestling Iron in Hayward, California. On November 1st, 2003, Mad Mikey and Rory Fox teamed up to defeat Quiten Lee and The Human Time Bomb with Ricky Steamboat serving as the special guest referee for the Heartland Wrestling Association. This match would ultimately be Lockwood's last. On November 6, 2003, Lockwood passed away at the residence of his friend and fellow wrestler, Stevie Richards, in Florida. He was only 32 years old and was discovered partially clothed with vomit surrounding his face. Nearby, empty bottles of the prescription drug carisoprodol and a partially consumed bottle of alcohol were found. Additionally, he had recently received divorce papers from his wife. The official cause of his death was determined to be suicide, as he had choked on his own vomit.
