Services for Helen Pauline Willis were held at 1:30 P.M. Tuesday at Burks Walker Tippit Funeral Directors Chapel, Tyler, with Dr. Darryle Dunks officiating.
Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Willis died Nov. 27, 2005 in a Chandler Nursing Home.
She was born Feb. 22, 1920 in Leagueville Community to the late John Hubbard and Irene Jordan Pool. She lived in Henderson and Smith Counties all her life. She was a member of Green Acres Baptist Church and Adult Choir. She was also a composor and publisher of Southern Gospel hymns and a pianist. She was preceded in death by her husband Harry Roland Willis ; daughter Sue Ann Denton and son John Willis.
Survivors include son James M. Willis, Tyler; sister Margaret Rounsavall, Tyler; five grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Jason Willis, James B. Willis, Richard Rounsavall, Robert Rounsavall and Dustin Rounsavall.
Honorary Pallbearers were ministers of Green Acres Baptist Church and the music ministry.
The family received friends 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the Funeral Home.
Memorials were directed to Green Acres Baptist Church.
