Homer was the oldet in the family. He was a supervisor at Swift and Co. in the Stockyards. His second wife polished his name plate on his grave. That is why his nameplate tarnished and his first wife's didn't.
His brother Joe Tom was a man of few words. When Homer died, Joe Tom said " He was a good brother"
