Walter R. Remley, 87, of West Lafayette, died unexpectedly at 11:04 AM Tuesday, Oct. 15, 1991, in Lafayette Home Hospital. Born April 16, 1904, in Greenbrier County, WV, he came to West Lafayette from East Chicago, IN, in 1928. He married Edith Viola Flowers on Aug. 29, 1925, at Minot, ND, and she survives.

Mr. Remley was a plumbing and heating contractor. He was a member of Federated Church, Masonic Lodge 724, and Order of Eastern Star 507, all of West Lafayette.

Also surviving are a son, W. Donald Remley of West Lafayette; a daughter, Alice M. Hiscox of Greenwood; eight grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. Two brothers preceded him in death.
