Mr. C.J. Brooks age 85 of Tazewell, TN was born June 7, 1925, and passed away September 29, 2010, at the Claiborne County Hospital. He was a lifelong member and Deacon of Cedar Grove Baptist Church. C.J was baptized in May 1938, ordained as a Deacon in July 1965 and was song-leader for 60 years.

The family will receive friends Friday, October 1, 2010, from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at Claiborne Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted 10:00am Saturday, October 2, 2010, in the Claiborne Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Eddie Overholt and Reverend George Walker officiating. Music will be provided by Glenna Hodges and Brenda Longworth. Burial will follow in the Irish Memorial Gardens.
