Edward Knizeski, Dies at age 55

Edward Knizeski, of 42 Welch Avenue, a self-employed taping contractor, died at the Kingsbridge VA Hospital, Bronx, yesterday after an illness of 10 days. His age was 55.
Mr. Knizeski was born in 1)Peekskill on March 28,1915 the son of 2)Casper and Johanna 3)Stuffen Knizeski.

He was an Army veteran of World War II, and a member of Centennial Hose Company and Group 710 of the Polish National Alliance.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday morning at 10:15 AM at the Edward F. Carter Funeral Home, 170 Kings Ferry Road, Montrose and at the Church of the Assumption at 11 o'Clock where a high mass of requiem will be offered. Interment, Assumption Cemetery. Visiting are 7-10 Saturday evening and 2-5 and 7-10 PM Sunday and Monday.

Surviving are his wife, the former Jean Moretti, a son Richard and a daughter Mrs. Douglas (Arlene) Swankie all of Peekskill, Also two brothers Casper of Peekskill and Joseph of Yonkers. and three sisters, Mrs. Bertha Stachurski and Mrs. Mary Kohut of Peekskill and Mrs. Pauline Demcher of Briarcliff.

1) Not sure he was born in Peekskill in 1915 when his family came to Peekskill in 1921.

2) His name was spelled Kasper

3) Her Maiden name was Stefen/Steffen
