Theresa M. Tomashitis, 55, of 910 Chestnut St., Ashland, passed away unexpectedly Monday at home.
Born July 28, 1955, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Dorothy Valousky Barrett.
She graduated from Cardinal Brennan High School in 1974.
Theresa worked for many years at Marrone's Cafe, Girardville.
She was a member of St. Joseph Church, Good Fellowship Club and American Hose Company, all of Ashland, and Clover Hose Company, Mount Carmel.
She loved life, family and friends and especially loved her nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Roseanne Barrett, in 2007; and a brother, Thomas Barrett, in 2010.
Surviving are her husband, Charles Tomashitis, Shenandoah, to whom she was married more than 30 years; a sister, Kathy Waschek, Ashland; a brother, James Barrett, Ashland; nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at the convenience of family at St. Joseph Cemetery, Fountain Springs. Kull-Heizenroth Funeral Home, Ashland, has charge of arrangements.
