Kenneth D. Masse, age 38, of 1109 Kelly Street, Joliet, formerly of Middleton, Massachusetts, died Monday, November 15, 1993, at the University of Chicago Hospital.
He was the son of Francis and Virginia (Kuell) Masse. He married Julie Obenhin of Streator.
Ken was a Vietnam veteran, serving with the United States Army Rangers Special Forces Unit.
He was a Joliet resident for 15 years and was employed as a superintendent for the Paul Schwendener Company. He was a member of the Carpenter's Union, Local #272.
Ken is survived by his wife, Julie; a son, Jack Masse; daughters, Amy Masse and Jennifer Masse; his father and stepmother, Francis and Marie Masse, of Middleton; his mother, Virginia Buyyid, of Middleton; a brother Dana Masse, of Middleton; a sister, Debbie (Mrs. John) LeBlanc, of Middleton; maternal grandmother, Myrtle Kuell, of Middleton; in-laws, Norman and Mary Ellen Obenhin, of Streator; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by maternal grandfather, James Kuell, and paternal grandparents, Chester and Rena Masse, all of Middleton.
Services: 9: 15 a.m., Saturday from the Fred Dames Funeral Home West Chapel, 3200 Black Road, Joliet, followed by a 10:00 a.m. mass at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Joliet.
Burial: St. Joseph Cemetery, Joliet.
