The death dates for this tombstone are incorrect. I know this because my mother and I were the ones who had the marker placed at the grave, and, at the time, we used unreliable information. Several years later, we found out Billy and Becky's granddaughter had recorded their death dates in her Bible. The birth date for Billy (William S.) may have been as late as 1832, but his death date was definitely March 7,1905. per the info in the Bible. Becky's death date, per the Bible was January 6, 1913.
Sidenote: After Billy and Becky's daughter, Martha Bolton Byers died shortly after giving birth to her 9th child, the nine children were raised by Billy and Becky. My grandmother, Penora "Dib" Byers Dobbins, was the oldest of those children. She had always wanted to place a marker at their graves, and as a tribute to her after she passed away, my mother and I purchased the marker and used info which turned out to be incorrect. There is no doubt the dates in the Bible of Coy Byers McGinnis is correct. I hope this will help the descendants of William S. "Billy" Bolton and Rebecca Beheler Bolton. Sincerely, Pat S.
