Knightdale - Annie Lewis Hildebrand, 79, of 313 Faison Drive, died Monday, October 18, 2004 at Wake Medical Center.

Annie was born in Pender County on June 2, 1925 to the late Fletcher Tate Lewis and Gertrude George Lewis.

In 1975 she became the Librarian for the Knightdale Library under the direction of the Wake County Public Library system. Annie worked there until retirement in 1984. She was a member of Knightdale Baptist Church. Annie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be greatly missed because of her love and devotion to her family.

Funeral service 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 20, 2004 at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service Chapel, with Reverend George Pullium officiating.

Burial, New Knightdale Baptist Church Cemetery, Mailman Road.

Surviving: sons, Stephen Lewis Hildebrand of Knightdale, George Wayne Hildebrand of Knightdale; daughter, Nancy Faye Hildebrand and her husband Mike Sealey of Raleigh; grandchildren, Toni Hildebrand and her fiance Robbie Trotter of Raleigh, Kelly H. Vetter and her husband, Brian Vetter of Raleigh; great-grandchildren, Blake Hildebrand, Kyle Vetter; sister, Evra Faircloth of Atkinson.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Everette Hildebrand, her sister, Mae Hawks, and brother, Billy Lewis.

Family will receive relatives and friends from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, October 19, 2004 at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service and Crematory, 944 Old Knight Road, Knightdale, NC 27545 and other times at the home, 313 Faison Drive, Knightdale, NC 27545.
