Auto Race Car Driver. A wealthy landowner, he started his career in 1954. After meeting the great Juan Manuel Fangio, Bordeu became the protegé of the great champion. He made impressive races in Europe during 1959 and 1960. In 1961, few weeks before his debut in Formula One, he had a terrible accident testing a Lotus in Goodwood, England. His recovery was slow and painful, his european experience was over. Then he returned to his first love, the popular Argentine Turismo Carretera, where he won 21 races, clinching the 1966 Championship (Chevrolet) and the 1964 and 1971 vice-championship. After his retirement, he still maintained the close friendship with his old master Fangio, became the first President of the Fangio Foundation.
