She was born in Kalkaska County on September 8, 1896 to Patrick and Katherine (Morrison) Dempsey. She was married to Dallas Park in Traverse City on August 27, 1924 and he preceded her in death.
Mrs. Park grew up in Alden and she graduated from Alden High School. She attended Central Michigan University and graduated with her life certificate. She attended Chico State in California and she received her degree there. She taught school in Boyne City and Hamtramck. During World War II, she was a dispatcher for the U.S. Air Corps. Following the war, she taught school in Copco Dam, California until her retirement.
She was a member of St. Luke's Catholic Church, Bellaire; Delta Kappa Gamma; Grand Traverse Retired Teachers' Association; and the Person's Harbor Women's Club.
Funeral Services were held Tuesday, September 18, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Mancelona with Rev. James Brucksch officiation. Burial was in Helena Township Cemetery, Alden. A scripture service was held on Monday evening, September 17, at the Paullin Funeral Home in Mancelona.
She is survived by one sister, Mrs. Rosaline Smith, Alden, and several nieces and nephews.
