Ruth, 84, Douglassville, PA, formerly Mendon, died at Pottstown Memorial Medical Center.
She was a daughter to Harry and Gail (Hamilton) Wollam. She married twice and survived both husbands. She first married Joseph Florian Magier, and on Apr 1, 1978, she married Albert John Casanova, Jr.
Surviving is a sister, Mary (Gilbert) Misplon, Bellefontaine.
Deceased is a son, Michael Magier.
A 1944 graduate of Mendon-Union High School*, she earned a bachelor's degree in journalism from the University of Missouri and a master's degree in special education from Kent State University. She worked as a special education teachers for 28 years at Stow City School District, Stow. She was editor for the American Legion Newsletter at the Akron post and received many awards for her work.
Private family services will be held.
