John (Jake) Chrismer, 54, died suddenly this morning at his home in York.

He was a native of Adams County and the son of the late Joseph Albert and Mary Catherine Collard Chrismer.

He was a general foreman at the Peach Bottom atomic plant. He was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church; the Royal Fire Company and its BD Social club; the Veterans Political Association, and a social member of the Catholic War Veterans Post in Bonneauville.

Survivors include his wife, the former Catherine Gebhart, Bonneauville, and three sons, Donald, Richard and John Jr. all of York, these brothers and sisters, Paul and Bernard Chrismer, Bonneauville, Earl, Hanover, Mrs. Earl Orndorff, Bonneauville, and Mrs. Joseph Claybaugh.

Funeral services will be held Thursday meeting at 8:30 a.m at the Seaholtz Funeral Home, York, to go to St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, York, for a requiem Mass at 9 o'clock. Burial will be in Holy Savior Cemetery, York.
