Robert W. Hiatt
Robert W. "Bob" Hiatt, age 81, of Carroll, formerly of Columbus, died Tuesday, December 1, 2009 at his residence.
Born June 25, 1928 in Columbus to the late Robert W. and Ruby Teale Hiatt, he was a graduate of Columbus North High School, and was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a retired dispatcher with Interstate and 3C Trucking Companies, and later worked in the print shop at World Harvest Church, where he was a member.
Survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Cheryl Hiatt, Pickerington; daughter and son-in-law, Patty and Phil Barber, Carroll; and grandchildren, Wesley and Emily Hiatt, Rebecca and David Barber. Preceded in death by his wife Ruth Ann Hiatt in 2005.
Friends may visit 6-8 p.m. Friday at the DWAYNE R. SPENCE FUNERAL HOME, 550 Hill Road N. (St. Rt. #256), Pickerington, where funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, December 5, with the Rev. Thomas Bender officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Friends who wish may contribute to the Bridge of Hope Outreach Ministries at World Harvest Church in Bob's memory.
