Son of William and Kathern Kuhler. On May 31, 1914 he married Cora Woodward. He served as judge of the western district of Chariton County for two years and was with the State Department of Agriculture for four years. He was a member of the Methodist Church and the Odd Fellows Lodge. He was a farmer most of his life and moved into Brunswick when his health failed and sold insurance. Funeral services were held on Thanksgiving Day with Rev. Ray S. Tomlin officiating.
