MARION - Richard Victor Baxley, 25, died in a local hospital at 7:30 a.m. Sunday after several days illness.
Funeral services will be held in Reedy Creek Church at 4 p.m. Monday, the Rev. R. O. Hilliard officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Baxley was formerly of Marion but had lived in Winston-Salem, N.C. for several years.
Surviving are the widow, the former Miss June White of Winston-Salem; a son, Richard Wayne; a daughter, Karen June; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Baxley of Marion; two brothers, Jack Baxley of Lakeland, Fla. and Roy Lee Baxley of Miami, Fla.; and a grandmother, Mrs. Henrietta Ammons of Marion.
