Jane Virginia Collins Bozman
Jane Virginia Collins Bozman, of Salisbury, MD died Tuesday, July 29, 2003 at Beebe Medical Center in Lewes, DE.
Born December 4, 1942 in Northfield, NJ, she was the daughter of the late John Raymond Collins and Marian Mealey Collins.
Jane graduated from Pleasantville High School in Pleasantville, NJ in 1960. Janie graduated in 1963 from the Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in Wilmington, DE and remained there to practice at Memorial Hospital, Visiting Nurses Association of Delaware and St. Francis Hospital School of Nursing. Janie then moved to Salisbury in 1972 and practiced at Peninsula Regional Medical Center until 1978. Her career moved her to North Carolina, practicing at Duke University, then to Richmond, VA, Gaithersburg, MD and finally returning to Salisbury in 1981, earning her BS degree in nursing from Salisbury University, and was presently employed at Peninsula Regional Medical Center.
Janie was an active cyclist, participating in many sponsored bike rides over the years. Her focus for charity rides was Breast Cancer Awareness, as she was a breast cancer survivor. Janie also enjoyed a wide variety of other hobbies.
Janie is survived by a loving daughter, Sarah Barczewski King and a much loved son-in-law, Eric King; 4 grandchildren, Tyler, Tristan, Samantha Jane and Juliet King who were the pride and joy of her life. Janie will be missed by her siblings, Marianne Steinberg, Gayle Collins, Deborah Rice, Joel Collins, Leslie Dabundo and her in-laws, Harding Rice and Dawn Collins.
Janie was a great source of joy to her many nieces and nephews and will be greatly missed by life long friends Joey and Donnie Dillon. Her many special friends and those who knew and worked with her will miss her greatly.
Janie is predeceased by her sister, Suzanne and 2 brothers, John and David Collins.
A celebration of Janie's life will begin at 8 pm on Tuesday, August 5, 2003 at HOLLOWAY FUNERAL HOME with visitation 1 hour prior.

2 types of cancer in different breasts. Bilateral mastectomies,axillary node dissection and breast reconstruction. Fotunately no chemo except Tamoxifen.
