Mary Culpepper, 54, of Refugio, died on October 15, 2005.
She was born in Ingram, Texas on December 24, 1950 to Lorrain Mayfield of Gonzales, and the late Hugh Mayfield. She was married to Jimmie Culpepper for 28 years and resided in Refugio. She was a Baptist and a homemaker. She was a patient at M.D. Anderson and battled breast cancer since 2004.
She is preceded in death by her father, Hugh James Mayfield, three brothers, Bill Mayfield, Jimmy Mayfield and Larry Mayfield, and a step-son, Jimmie Culpepper.
She is survived by her mother, Lorrain Mayfield of Gonzales, her husband, Jimmie Culpepper of Refugio, daughter Tammy (Eddie) Bland of Refugio, adopted daughter, Joy (Robert) Resendez of Victoria, a son, Kenneth Ocker II of Beeville, two grandchildren, Anthony and Myranda Trentman both of Refugio, four sisters, Dorothy (Raj)Subbaiah of Victoria, Myrna (Harold) Arnold of Gonzales, Sue (Robert) Lovel of Victoria, Edith (James) Harris of Vanderbilt, and numerous nephews and nieces.
Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Moore Funeral Home Chapel, Refugio. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery. Moore Funeral Home, Refugio, 361-526-4334.
Pallbearers: Teddy Culpepper, Billy Oeltjen, Baron Payton, Albert Arnold, Patrick Warren, Jefferey Oeltjen. Honorary pallbearers: Brothers-in-law.
