CARLSBAD--Pablo C. Ramirez, 64, of South Eighth Street, died Saturday, Sept. 23, 1995, at Guadalupe Meical Center.
Rosary was held Monday at Denton-Funchess Funeral Home Chapel. Services will be 3:30 p.m. today at Iglesia Evangelica Christiana Spiritual, Iris and Center streets. Interment will follow at Santa Catarina. The Rev. Jesus Cantu will officiate. Denton-Funchess Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Ramirez was born June 29, 1931, in Ojinaga, Chihuahua, Mexico, to Bardomino and Rita Carrasco Ramirez. He moved to Pecos, Texas, in 1941 and became a U.S. citizern Dec. 3, 1943. He grew up ranching and farming. He moved to Carlsbad in 1974 where he ranched. He was a member of Iglesia Evangelica Christiana Spiritual in Carlsbad for many years, enjoyed horses, gardening and playing guitar. He was preceded in death by a son, Herbie Ramirez.
Survivors include his wife, Josepha Ramirez of Carlsbad; sons, Pablo Ramirez Jr., Lupe Ramirez and Jesse Ramirez, all of Carlsbad; mother, Rita Ramirez of Carlsbad; brothers, Raymond Ramirez and Domingo Ramirez, both of Carlsbad, Narsiro Ramirez of Pecos, Manuel Ramirez of Saragosa, Texas, Francisco Ramirez of Balmorhea, Texas, Jesse Ramirez of Odessa, Juan Ramirez, Josemaria Ramirez and Eugene Ramirez, all of Barstow, Texas; sisters, Goya Bernard, Cruz Navarette and Isabel Ramirez, all of Carlsbad; and seven grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Joe Ray Bernard, Eddie Fuentes, Hector Fuentes, Julian Fuentes, Manuel Lara and Adolfo Olivas.
