Lowell was a member of the First United Methodist Church in England. He was a member of the VFW Post 10442, in Rose City where he was the active Post Commander, also serving as District 13 Quartermaster. Lowell served in the Army during the Viet Nam Era. He was active in VFW activities and was proud of his service years. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to deer hunt and was active in Sportsman's Family Hunting Club in Rison, Arkansas.
Lowell was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters. He is survived by his wife: Barbara Nutz; three sons: Jeremy Nutz and his wife Chasity, Tracy Roberts and his wife Susie all of England, Curtis Nix and his wife Julie of Anniston, Alabama; two daughters: Tamyra Bryon and her husband John of Anniston, Alabama and Tina Coker and her husband Charles Coker, Jr. of England; seven grandchildren; one brother: Donald Nutz and his wife Grace of Carrington, North Dakota; one brother-in-law: Elroy Reichenberger; also many nieces and nephews along with a host of friends.
Services will be at The First United Methodist Church in England on Sunday, October 23rd, 2011 at 2:00 P. M. with Bro. Robert McDaniel and Bro. George Crumbly officiating. Visitation will be at Roller England Funeral Home (501) 842-3939 Saturday, October 22nd, 2011 from 6-8:00 P.M. Burial will be in Mulberry Cemetery, England, Arkansas.
The family asks that memorials be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, 4899 Belfort Road, Suite 300, Jacksonville, Florida, 32256.
