Martha Ann (Jones)(Mattie) Russ. Born in Colquitt, Ga., Miller County, Sept. 5, 1860, came to Fla. at age 14. After living in Holmes Valley & Washington County for a period of 41 years, She came to St. Petersburg to make her home 36 years ago in 1915. She had 12 children, 24 grand children, 41 great grand children & 16 great, great grandchildren. Her later years she lived with her son, Ashley Roche Russ & wife Bessie Mae at 3450 Tangerine [18th] Ave. So., St. Petersburg, Fla. - From a 1951 entry in the Family Bible that was in the possession of Maxine Almeda "Heddy" May Snyder until 2012.
