He was born on August 7, 1930 in Cullman, AL. He was a member of New Mt. Zion Baptist Church where he served as the chairman of the Deacons. He worked for Ingram Farms for 42 years.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 3-8pm at Nichols Funeral Home in Addison. Visitation will also be held on Wednesday night from 6-9pm at the funeral home. Services will be held on Thursday at 1pm at New Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Logan, where he will lie in state from 12-1pm. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Marcell Eddy; son, Perry (Carlette) Eddy of Logan; daughters, Patricia (Nickey) Lee of Addison and Phyllis Denson (Heath Wright) of Logan; brother, Welcome (Melva) Eddy of North Carolina; sister, Faye Key of Logan; he was Paw Paw to six grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Louis and Novel Belle Eddy; brothers, Harlen and Hollis Eddy; and sisters, Illa Mae Marks and Myrtle Tolbert
