Burnice (Beal) Fiedler was born on Thursday, April 26, 1917, in Omaha, NE, the daughter of Walt and Hazel (Anderson) Beal.

On Saturday, March 7, 1942, Burnice married Howard Fiedler in Omaha.

Burnice worked at O'Brien's Pharmacy in Omaha.

Burnice and Howard owned Beal's Grill, following the death of her father, and they sold it to Creighton University.

After retirement from the pharmacy, Burnice collected and sold more than 1,000,000 postcards (including 18,000 views of Omaha), and she attended 24 hobby shows per year. She also collected dolls and sheet music.

Burnice was famous for appending a postscript of "Pkg to follow" to the bottom of a brief note, but usually there was no package that ever followed.

Howard died on September 12, 1996. Burnice lived as a widow for the next 8 years.

Burnice and Howard had no children.

Burnice, 87 years old, died on Wednesday, August 11, 2004. Visitation was from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Heafey-Heafey-Hoffmann-Dworak-Cutler's West Center Chapel on August 13. Services were held at 10:00 a.m. on August 14 at Omaha's Calvary Baptist Church. She was buried beside her husband at Calvary Cemetery, Omaha.
