From his neice, Audrey Prindel-Broadley "Harvey never married and had no children. He was a true red head with grey-blue eyes. He was cross-eyed, supposedly from the measles.
Harvey purchased the homestead adjacent to his older brother, Quincy, and the two of them farmed the lands jointly. They raised cattle, goats, geese, ducks, guineas, chicken and hogs."

WW1 Registration card indicated: name Harvey Edgjy (Edgar?)Prindel, residence Alpha, Lane, Oregon, 37 yrs of age, birthdate March 28, 1881. Tractor driver for D.M. Stevenson in Klamath Falls, Oregon, nearest relative is Alvira Prindel in Paris, Oregon, medium height, medium build, blue eyes, light hair, no disabilities, dated Sept. 12, 1918.

Harvey died while attending engineering school in Kansas City, presumably from the flu epedemic of 1918-1919. His body was returned to Oregon via train for burial.
