Elizabeth Ann Kiblinger Good, 82, passed away peacefully at the Life Care Center in New Market, Va., Saturday, October 8, 2011. She was a lifelong resident of Shenandoah, Va.

Ann was born November 8, 1928, and was the daughter of the late Harry Lee and Edith Myrtle Kiblinger. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Eugene Lee Kiblinger.

In 1948, she graduated from Shenandoah High School and went on to receive her degree from Shenandoah College, when it was located in Dayton, Va. While at college, she met Robert P. Good, whom she later married. On this past September 4, they celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary. Ann was crowned "Miss Shenandoah" in 1948 and 1949. She taught school at the Shenandoah Elementary School for two years, after graduating from college.

Ann was a very active member of Christ United Methodist Church. She taught Sunday school and sang many solos as a member of the church choir. This past year, she was president of the Women's Fellowship at the church. One of the highlights of Ann's church work was her yearly efforts put forth at Christmas time to organize, plan, and host the group's annual Christmas party, always held at her home. Also, Ann attended Elkton Evangelical Presbyterian Church, during the past several years.

Ann is survived by her husband, Robert P. Good, and two daughters, Jane Goodall Blair and her husband, Jim, and Robbie Ann Colopy and her husband, Mark. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Elizabeth and Rebekah Victoria Colopy, Daniel, Jonathan, Noah, and Isaiah Goodall, and Hannah Zwanzig. In addition, she has five great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 12, 2011, at the Coverstone Cemetery in Shenandoah, Va. The Rev. Stephen Creech and Dr. Rob Buchanan will be officiating.

The family will receive friends at Kyger Funeral Home in Elkton, from 7-8 p.m. Tuesday, October 11, 2011.
