Linda Ann Breeden, 61, a resident of Elkton, passed away Wednesday, October 5, 2011, at her home.

She was born May 26, 1950, in Harrisonburg, and was a daughter of the late Ray and Julia Dean Lucas.

She was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker, who loved and enjoyed her children and grandchildren. Her caring commitment for others was evident through her many years of baby-sitting, and a home where everyone was welcome. She found enjoyment in taking rides on the Skyline Drive with her husband, gardening, planting flowers and her two cats.

On June 19, 1965, she married Arnold Wayne "Wayney" Breeden who preceded her in death on November 26, 2010.

Surviving are her five children, Lisa A. Breeden of Elkton, Tina Cook and husband, Randy, of Elkton, Sharon Dean and husband, Donald, of Elkton, Wilson "Bill" Breeden and wife, Dot, of Grottoes, and Stephanie Breeden of Elkton and her fiancé, Travis Grimsley, of Elkton; brothers, William Lucas and wife, Krista, of Winchester, John Lucas and wife, Laverne, of Grottoes, Larry J. Lucas and wife, Caron, of Weyers Cave and Page Lucas of Elkton; sisters, Vickie Cardin and husband, Paul, of Elkton and Betty Hendricks of McGaheysville; and eight grandchildren, Dylan Breeden, Dalton Breeden, Chelsey Cook, Montana Dean, Katelyn Breeden, Dakota Breeden, Kyle Mills and Robert Mills.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, October 9, 2011, at the Kyger Funeral Home Chapel in Elkton with Pastor Carter Dean officiating. Burial will follow in the Hensley's United Methodist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Saturday evening at the funeral home in Elkton. Friends may also call and visit at the Breeden home at any time.
