Pinscher lived to an advanced age for such a big fella. Faithful companion-German Shepard/Doberman Pinscher mix-adopted from CDH co-worker statistician Jan Weiser. Loved his tennis balls and pursuing (eagerly) members of other species, especially Wacko-the neighbor's cat- who had a penchant for visiting our vegetable garden uninvited {not to worry-all were too agile and speedy for the big guy and thus escaped a chomping}. Also loved riding in the black Dodge van and sitting in the driver's seat as a barking sentinel when his master went into the store or post office. Had a complete ritual of arranging and re-arranging his blankets/bedding. Terrified of thunder and lighting; terrifier of cats. He may now be chasing cats and squirrels in the Big Backyard Up Yonder.
