"Mary Colleen Abbott of 970 May Post Office Road, Strasburg, died Monday at the Essa Flory Hospice Center after a long illness. A homemaker, Mrs. Abbott was a homeschool teacher for 16 years. She attended Taylor University and earned her bachelor's and master's degrees from Michigan State University. Mrs. Abbott was a member of NewSong Fellowship Church. She enjoyed languages, gardening, music and art. Born in Jackson, Mich., she was the daughter of Robert L. and Virginia Ordway Greaige. She was married to Dr. David A. Abbott. Surviving in addition to her husband and parents are a son, Ethan of Atlanta; three daughters, Courtney Brooke, married to Seth Fogie of Strasburg, and Heather Abbott and Hillary Abbott, both at home; and two sisters, Pat, married to Dr. Craig Lewis of Fort Collins, Colo., and Susan, married to George Smith of Oakland, NJ."
