The Spring 1973 survey appearing in "Pike County Alabama Tomb Records v. I" notes this marker as "In line with headstone base (Top Missing), large tomb base with broken marker for Georgia Anna piled on it and Allie Julia Pelham". Hopefully her broken marker and that of her daughter Allie are still to be found.

I did find a record in the Pike County Death Records as transcribed from July 1881 to April 1892 listing Alice Pellam (possibly Allie Pelham). The information given was:
b. Ala.
age 1 yr, 2 mos
wht. female
d. dysentery,
North of Brundidge
bur. Bethel Church
G. Hendrick, M.D.
The date of death shown was 23 Sep 1883 which is one day off from the 24 Sep 1883 date shown in the tombstone records publication. I would venture to guess, however, if Mr. Johnston or Mr. Hayes used the 24 Sep date, that was the date shown on the tombstone.
