Funeral services will be Saturday, Feb. 16, 2008, at 2 p.m. at Mt. Zion AME Church in Georgetown. Burial, directed by Wilds Funeral Home, will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from noon until services begin.
Mr. Tucker was born Nov. 20, 1940, in Georgetown, a son of the late Willie Tucker Sr. and Hattie Gilliard Tucker. He was a retired mechanic with the New York City Police Department and attended Mt. Zion AME Church.
Surviving are five sons, Terryal B. Tucker of Brooklyn, N.Y., Eugene E. Tucker and Vincent B. Tucker, both of Englewood, N.J., Lamont C. Tucker of Queens, N.Y., and Mark Tucker of Seattle, Wash.; seven siblings, Willie Tucker and Jacob Tucker, both of Brooklyn, Hopie Bassell and Robert Tucker, both of the Bronx, N.Y., Ernest Tucker and Samuel Tucker, both of Queens, and Ida Johnson, Hattie Tucker and Sarah Foster, all of Georgetown; 10 grandsons; and a granddaughter.
