Theresa Wainwright Smith, 87, of Neptune Beach passed away January 8, 2011. She was born June 7, 1923 in Jacksonville. She graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in 1941 and attended Florida State College for Women. Theresa was President of the PTAs for Hogan-Spring Glen Elementary, Southside Jr. High and Englewood High Schools. She was also a member of the Jacksonville Beach Woman's Club (President 1985-87 and Lifetime Member); Ribault Garden Club Camellia Chapter (President 1981-83 and Lifetime Member); DAR Jean Ribault Chapter (Regent 1986-88, CAR Chairman 1997-98); UDC Mattie T. Wright Chapter (Charter Member); and St. Paul's-by-the-Sea Episcopal Church (Altar Guild, Flower Guild, St. Monica's Guild and Daughters of the King). Family members include her beloved husband of 64 years, William Alexander Smith; daughters, Aggie (Don) Steiner, of Atlanta, GA; Barbara Jean (Bruce) Cucuel, of Thomasville, GA; and Mary Beth (Wayne) Edwards, of Neptune Beach; grandchildren, Brooks (Meredith) Cucuel, of Frederick, MD; Brett Cucuel, of Daytona Beach; Amy (Justin) Waters, of Jacksonville Beach; Katie (Chad) Davidson, of Jacksonville; and Beth (Derrick) Zerbe, of Jacksonville; and great grandchildren, Owen, Colton, Emily, Rowan and Eli. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 15, 2011 in St. Paul's-by-the-Sea Episcopal Church, Jacksonville Beach. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Paul's-by-the-Sea Altar Guild or DOK.
