FRANK J. BOONSTRA, 80, of 218 Elm Street, Morrison, IL, died Monday, April 17, 2006, at CGH Medical Center in Sterling, IL.
Frank was born September 16, 1925 in Chicago, IL, to Frank "Feiko" and Minnie (Pream) Boonstra. He was educated in the Morgan Park High School in Chicago and graduated from Tilden High School in Chicago. He then attended apprentice school to become a carpenter. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII. Frank married Katherine Borgman in Chicago. She died February 16, 1996. He then married Dorothy J. (Hamstra) Decker on April 8, 1997 in Morrison, IL. Frank was employed as a carpenter for a large construction company in the Chicago area. He was a member of the Ebenezer Reformed Church in Morrison and a former member of Calvary Reformed Church in Orland Park, IL.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy; three daughters, Eleanor (Mrs. Philip) Lipinski of Palos Hills, IL; Valerie (Mrs. Keith) Tucker of Tinley Park, IL; and Rolene Boonstra of Hammond, IN; two stepsons, Duane Decker of Port Byron, IL and Gordon Decker of Morrison, IL; four grandchildren; five step grandchildren; one great grandchild; four step great grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Lynea Olsen of Bolingbrook, IL; and one brother, Bruce (Nina) Boonstra of Chicago, IL.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Katherine; one sister, Audrey Riegert; and two brothers, Harry and Peter Boonstra.
