He was a native of Haywood County, and was a son of Carroll and Eva Mae Reece Burress. Randy was preceded in death by a son, Clint Burress, who died in 2008. Randy, first and foremost, had a love for his Lord. He loved spending time with his family and enjoyed riding his horse. Randy was a local artist specializing in western art. He loved the outdoors and traveling around the country with his wife.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife of 25 years, Brenda Bennett Burress; two sons, Jason King and his wife, Brooke, of Leicester, and Jeramie King and his wife, Christy, of Cruso; one daughter, Amorette King and her husband, Adam, of Beaverdam; two brothers, Roger Burress and his wife, Martha, of Atlanta, Georgia, and David Burress and his wife, Ceil, of Sylva; and seven grandchildren, Caylee, Emma, and Lucas Burress, Matthew and Madison King, and Emily and Ty King.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, September 26, 2011 in the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the Reverend Denny King officiating.
