GID B. LEA

Gid B. Lea, 79, died yesterday at 5:30 a.m. at his home at Inskip.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Fannie Lea; three sons, J.A. Lea, of Nanta, Idaho; F.C. Lea, of Colon, Panama; Howard and Robert E. Lea, both of Knoxville; a daughter Mrs. Nora Smelser, of Knoxville, and two grandchildren, Robert and Buford Smelser.

Mr. Lea formerly operated a blacksmith shop at Sharp’s Gap on Central Avenue pike, but retired 10 years ago.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Inskip Baptist church. The Rev. W.D. Hutton, The Rev. A. C. Huston and the Rev. C.V. Bellamy will officiate. Burial will be in Greenwood cemetery. McCarthy will be in charge. The body is at the family home.

Pallbearers will be Ed. Moore, E.E. Ousley, Lester Wallace, George Nelson, Boyd Hicks and George Johnson.
