Leo Dee Stockton (1902-1986)

Son of Walter Shelby Stockton and Hannah Minta Stockton.

1893 photograph, Log Cabin, near Perkins, Payne County, Oklahoma.
This tintype photograph was taken in 1893 in Payne County, Oklahoma near the town of Perkins. The log house in picture was the first home of Walter Shelby and Hannah Minta Collier Stockton, who were married on September 25, 1880. Those in photo (left back row) Grandma Cline (Hattie Bell Cline Stockton's mother) holding Walter Oswald Stockton (ca. 2 months) (son of Robert Oswald and Hattie Bell Cline Stockton), unknown girl and next child unknown (need to look closely to see as child is blurry), Hattie Bell Cline Stockton (36) (widow of Robert Oswald Stockton), Ethel Ray Stockton (9) daughter of Walter Oswald and Hattie Bell Cline Stockton), Thomas Sheridan Stockton (25) (youngest son of Joseph M. and Julia Ann Musgrave Stockton), Hannah Minta Collier Stockton (25) (wife of Walter Shelby Stockton), Walter Shelby "Shelly" Stockton 28) (4th son of Joseph M. and Julia Ann Musgrave Stockton), it is believed that the name of this lady on the far right with hand on shoulder of each Julia Ann Musgrave Stockton and Joseph M. Stockton might be Mary Ann "Annie" Musgrave (16) (daughter of Josiah Franklin and Mary Ann C. "Mollie" Stockton Musgrave). (Left front row) Freddie Robert Stockton (11) (son of Robert Oswald and Hattie Bell Cline Stockton), the names of the next two children are believed to be Franklin Joseph Stockton (3) and Emma Myrtle Stockton (5) (both children of Robert Oswald and Hattie Bell Cline Stockton), Julia Ann Musgrave Stockton (61) and Joseph M. Stockton (62). It is believed that child sitting in chair in front of Julia Ann and Joseph M. Stockton is Recie Ann Stockton (2) (daughter of Walter Shelby and Hannah Minta Collier Stockton, who died when she was only 4 years old). (Note: Robert Oswald "Ossie" Stockton (oldest son of Joseph and Julia Ann Musgrave Stockton) died on January 8, 1893 at the age of 38 just prior to the birth of his son, Walter Oswald Stockton, who was born on February 12, 1893).
